Get Involved

Beginning in November, volunteer orientations are held every third Wednesday of the month. Please call our office at 404-230-7114 to register. We request that you complete your volunteer application prior to attending a volunteer orientation and we appreciate your interest in working with The Center for Working Families, Inc.

Volunteers play a crucial role in support of our holistic efforts to ensure economic success for hard-working families. Volunteers can work in an administrative or program capacity Under the supervision of TCWFI staff, volunteers can educate participants on a variety of job readiness and wealth building subjects such as resume writing and budget. Volunteers can also mentor students at our Parks Middle School project or discuss the importance of positive parenting with our Fatherhood program.  For those that are interested in more administrative support, volunteers can assist with filing, data processing and TCWFI event-related logistics.

Kevin Sledge of Financial Planning Association of Georgia says, “TCWFI is a great place to volunteer, all I have to do is come, show up and give my time. It is just that easy. The staff is very friendly and participants seem truly interested in learning more about my area of expertise. This makes me feel like I’ve made a real difference.”
